Cricket betting at crickex group — follow every Bangladesh Tigers match
From T20 to Test, from domestic BPL to international ICC tournaments — crickex group has betting markets for all cricket formats in one place. Bet with live in-play markets, a range of market options and fast payments.
The three cricket formats and how betting differs
With each innings limited to just 20 overs, the outcome of a T20 match can shift quickly. BPL and IPL are both played in this format, making it the most familiar to Bangladeshi fans. In betting terms, the impact of every over and wicket is felt immediately in T20.
One-day internationals have distinct phases — powerplay, middle overs and death overs — each with its own pace. Major series including the ICC World Cup are played in ODI format. Because matches last longer, pitch and weather conditions have a greater influence on betting markets.
In this five-day format the situation shifts session by session. A draw is a valid result, so there are three betting options — Team A win, Team B win and draw. First-innings batting partnerships can have a significant effect on the markets the following day.
Beyond Bangladesh Tigers matches, BPL season games held in Dhaka are especially popular here. crickex group offers betting markets for all three formats — T20, ODI and Test — in one place. For full details on rules and conditions, visit the Terms and Conditions page.
Betting on football and other sports
As well as cricket, crickex group also offers football betting. In football there are three possible match outcomes — Team A win, Team B win or draw. In T20 cricket there is no draw, so while there are fewer market options, odds can shift on every ball.
Football offers a variety of markets such as half-time/full-time, number of goals or first goalscorer, which require a different kind of analysis compared to cricket. Other sports such as tennis, badminton or kabaddi may also have betting options, though the range is smaller than for cricket and football.
The variety of markets differs by sport — cricket has far more individual performance markets (such as top batsman) than football does. Alongside sports betting, crickex group also offers live casino and other gaming options.
Popular cricket betting markets
Understanding each market on its own makes for a more organised betting experience. Seven familiar markets are briefly described below.
You pick which team will win at the end of the match. In T20 and ODI there are only two options (Team A or Team B); in Test there are three.
Simplest marketBet on which team will win the toss before the match begins. The result is entirely independent, so odds for both teams are usually close to equal.
Settled quicklyYou pick the batsman who will score the most runs in a team's innings. Because you are choosing from a larger pool of batsmen, the odds tend to be higher.
Performance marketYou choose whether the total runs in an innings or match will be above (over) or below (under) a set line. Pitch conditions and weather play a big role here.
Statistical marketYou pick the bowler who will take the most wickets in an innings. The dominance of pace or spin and the state of the pitch influence this market.
Bowling performanceMultiple selections are combined into one bet. All selections must be correct to win — one wrong selection and the entire bet is lost. The combined odds are much higher.
Combined marketSay you have picked three selections across three separate matches with decimal odds of 1.50, 1.70 and 1.90. The combined odds would be 1.50 × 1.70 × 1.90 = 4.84 (approximately). On a ৳100 bet, if all three selections are correct you would receive ৳484 back. But if even one selection is wrong, the entire ৳100 is lost. These figures are for illustration only — actual odds and returns on real matches will differ.
How to read odds
Odds on a betting platform can appear in three formats — Decimal, Fractional and American. All three express the same probability; only the way they are written differs.
| Format | Team A win (example) | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 3.00 | ৳1,000 bet returns ৳3,000 in total (profit ৳2,000 + stake ৳1,000) |
| Fractional | 2/1 | Profit of ৳2 for every ৳1 staked — ৳1,000 bet returns a profit of ৳2,000 |
| American | +200 | Plus sign means underdog — ৳100 bet returns a profit of ৳200 |
Example for the favourite: Team B odds of 1.25 in decimal = 1/4 in fractional = −400 in American. A ৳1,000 bet returns ৳1,250 (profit ৳250). In American format a minus sign means favourite — you need to stake ৳400 to profit ৳100. All three formats express the same selection in the same match — use whichever you find most convenient.
Live in-play betting — markets during the match
In-play betting lets you place bets after the match has started. Each wicket that falls increases the odds on the batting team and shifts the match-win probability. Similarly, a six or four raises the run rate and pushes up the odds on the opposing team.
As the overs progress, the pressure of the required run rate builds — a wicket in the death overs can change the direction of the entire match. This is why odds move very quickly in live betting. Before selecting any market, consider the current score, wickets lost and overs remaining.
Test matches offer session-based markets — you can place bets separately for the morning, afternoon and evening sessions. For more information on responsible betting, read the Responsible Gaming page.
- When a wicket falls, odds on the batting team increase
- If few runs are scored in the powerplay, the total under market becomes cheaper
- In the death overs, odds can change on every ball
- In-play markets can close at any time
- Keep your internet connection stable — a slow connection can cause you to miss markets
Some useful tips for cricket betting
- Start with one market: Focus on the match winner market first. Betting across many markets at once makes things complicated.
- Set a budget: Decide how much you will bet before each match and stick to that limit. Betting is for entertainment — do not use money you need for everyday expenses.
- Understand the format: T20 and Test markets work differently. A reason that makes one team's odds low in T20 may not apply in Test cricket.
- Avoid rushing in live betting: Because odds change fast, there is a temptation to decide instantly. Pause, check the scorecard, then make your decision.
- Be careful with multi bets: More selections mean higher odds — but one wrong pick means the whole bet is lost. Start with fewer selections.
- Do not chase losses with bigger bets: Placing larger bets after a loss makes things worse. Betting is a form of entertainment — keep a clear head and enjoy it.
Betting is a form of entertainment. There is no guarantee of financial gain — always keep this in mind. If you find yourself inclined to bet beyond a set limit, follow the responsible gaming guidelines.
